To the ladies that feel that sex helped put you into labor: how long after the fact did you start…

I had my bloody show almost immediately after and I had already been having really weak contractions but they got stronger instantly. But I was 5 days overdue too. Lol

I tried it and nothing 😢 maybe I need to more lol

With my 2nd i started contracting 3 min after sex. I started early labor. With my 3rd, we had sex and after i said "that one felt different. It really hurt" i woke up about 5 hrs later in active labor

Few hours later, and worse the next morning!

Had sex at 10:30 pm, contractions started at 2:45 am

With 2 of my pregnancy my water broke soon as he came lol

Had sex around 11:30pm/12am and woke up at 3:30am with contractions 7-10 minutes apart.

Mine was about 20-30 min and I contracted all night and finally at 8 am I went to my Ob they checked me and told me it was time go get my daughter situated and come back to L&D

Do you guys think it's the sperm that's what does it or us having an orgasm? Or the combo? I just did it about an hour ago but I didn't orgasm.

@lumbeemama, my water broke about an hour after having sex.

I think it was the sperm in my case

What position did you guys do it in for it to work for you ?

My doctor told me it's the combo, and that sex "technically" only works if both the male and female orgasm and the sperm reaches the cervix to soften it, and something about how your cervix reacts to your orgasm. And you're welcome!

I was always told by my Ob it's the sperm because of the prostaglandins

I'd say I agree with that cuz we had sex plenty of times prior but didn't always both orgasm etc.

I think for my second it was the combo and for the 3rd it was just the sperm that helped my cervix soften up the rest of the way to help me dilate and start contracting

Then again i was 3 days over so it could have just been a coincidence lol

Definitely sperm for me, I didnt orgasm. I was 1 day overdue but the day before I was only 1 cm dilated and 50% effaced so I really think it was the sex

we did the deed on that Sunday night around 10ish, woke up bc labor started at 2am. i was overdue by 3 days when it started
