You probably need a note from your OB or the dentist won't see you. I just had my regular cleaning and needed one. However, they did tell me that dental work is safe in the 2nd trimester. They just use a different numbing agent. You should go because if you wait too long they won't touch it!

Yes just make sure you let them know that you're pregnant so that they don't do anything unsafe
