personally 6oz sounds like to much for a 4 week old. if they're eating to much they will essentially reject a lot of the milk because it's too much pressure on their stomach

Are you burping him after around 2 to 3 ounces? If you're breast-feeding I know it's hard to tell how many ounces he is getting, babies can give cues when they're starting to get full Google with some of those cues are . When my babies had bellyaches they acted like they wanted to eat more so I would feed them more, but most of the time it was just because they had a big burp that I needed to help them get out. There were some underlying issues with my daughter having a milk allergy causing her to act that way but there were more obvious symptoms as well, and my third born had really bad GERD and he would act like that and then projectile vomit. Try The burping after 2 or so oz, and offering him a Passi if that doesn't work then maybe he's just hungry and ends up over eating. Not a whole ton you can do about that 😏

try feeding him less at a time but more frequently. he may be having a growth spurt.

@forever223, yeah. I try to burp him at least 2-3 times a feeding but he seems to have really stubborn burps. @crunchymomma about how often should I feed him?

My baby ate almost nonstop the first 2 months. Constant cluster feeding.

He's always trying to eat whomever is holding him.

follow his hunger cues and feed whenever he is hungry, but if he still acts hungry after you've given him a smaller feeding just comfort him. sing to him, rock him, let him suck on your finger, stuff like that. give him time to adjust and decide whether he's really hungry or not. he may just me looking for comfort not food.
