okay so I wanna know how you mommas feel about carrying a gun. legally of course , if you're 18 and what not.
my husband and I both always carry a gun with us, we have holsters and carry them on our hips. or they stay in the side of the car door. he's 21 so he can conceal it, I'm not 21 so I have to open carry (laws in az).
but I wanna know what you all think. I carry a .40 caliber gun, a glock 23. which for all of you that know about guns is a pretty big round for a handgun. but my husband bought me the gun so I can make sure I'm safe. especially with all the shooting and kidnapping(I'm 18 but anyone can get abducted, obviously) I'm also not the biggest. about 5'2 so it's not like I could take someone easily. so I have it for protection for myself when I'm places without my husband.
honestly I've heard good and bad opinions on this. but I have to to be safe & in order to protect myself if worse case scenario were to happen. better safe than sorry. just the way I see it.

My husband and I plan on getting guns when we have the money and what not! I'm 5'3 a tiny thing so I can't really protect myself either, and I get anxious being out alone without my husband sometimes! So I'll feel a lot safer when we have guns on us

if you've had good training and know how to use it then yes I agree you should carry it. if I had the money I'd totally have one

girl we have like the exact same minds. we have numerous guns as well, guns we carry then of course for fun for shooting and target and stuff. & I would too. I'd have that gun by my side all night. @blessedmom

I do too. people say it's such a guy thing but I could tell you about many different kinds a gun and hit a target from really good distances lol just a perk 😂 @blessedmom

Once your kids reach toddler age I would be careful to leave it unloaded whenever possible, keep it in a locked box or gun safe when it's not on you, etc. Toddlers get into everything and it just takes a second for something to go horribly wrong - like that one gun advocate who was fatally shot by her toddler. Probably obvious advice to most people, but best to be safe.

right, you're right about all of that. I'll definitely be taking that precaution for sure & I know as soon as my son is old enough his dad is gonna be teaching him that it's not a toy and such haha but that's horrible, I never heard that story. when did that happen? @jaclyn000

I open carried because I don't have my CCW. I had a glock 42 until I sold it for my son. I think it's fine as long as it's done safely.

yeah I don't have my CCW either so I open carry as well. gosh I'm so glad to know more people than I thought have guns and carry and such @_stayingparkerstrong_
