Lived with the in laws while getting on our feet with our first son. They invited me to move in to make it easier. Sooo many issues. Destroyed the relationship. I used to love my MIL but she never respected my boundaries and took advantage of me, treated me like a maid. I took it upon myself to clean the house always since i didn't work. But she informed me that it wasn't good enough. Much more complex than that. But our relationship is superficial now, just surface shit.
I lived with my mine until about two months before I gave birth, I wouldn't do it again. It's too much for me
I understand sometimes you have to do what you have to. But I would never live with my in-laws again. I used to have a great relationship with my MIL until we lived with her and when my son came it was WWIII in that house.
I used to live with my exs family (no baby) and I loved them! We only lived there for 6 months until we got our own place. But, with a baby, I would only want to live in my own place. I have a family now, wouldn't matter if I needed to work 3 jobs again, it's mine and my fiancé's job to provide for our family.
I love my inlaws, but, id never live with them or my mom for that matter. I personally think if you have a family you should be living on your own.
@maria91912 I've had some issues with my father in law. But all in all, it's great
