So , I give my baby boy Vitamin D (D•Sol) drops due to the fact that he's breast fed, but I haven't done it as religiously as I probably should because he seems to have a really hard time taking it. It upsets his belly and he gags on it every time. 😔 But I'm scared that the days I may have missed might have an adverse effect on the strength and growth of his bones.....so now I feel so terrible about that I could cry 😢 Ugh

There are mix research about having to use it. Since it is warmer weather, 30 mins of sun should suffice! That's what I do now that he's older and he never took it well either.

If he gets adequate sunlight he is fine

I was never told to give my daughter vitamin D drops. What's the purpose of them?

they help the bones to capacity properly. make them strong and not weak, and ensure that the baby won't get rickets, which is pretty serious

Well now I wish I had known this earlier. She's 10 months and she's never had any drops 😕

your pediatrician didn't recommend them? Is she breastfed?
