I'm sorry, but I need to RANT. Can't do it on another social media cause I could get in trouble lol. So I've worked at a daycare for two years in the twos room. We have had those times when we have had the "bad" kid in our class. I know every daycare has one! Well there is this kid in our class who is horrible. Literally horrible ! EVERY single day he bites someone, pulls their hair, scratches, and when he does this it leaves bruises, blood and he has a handful of hair in his hand. He has clawed up my arm to the point where I now have scars. We put him in timeout.. And after he's done he goes right back to hurting a teacher or another kid. Today he decided to kick me in my pregnant belly, pushed a kid off the slide, bite a little girl in the cheek then got a handful of her hair. We try to keep him separated from the other kids... But that's hard to do with two teachers and 18 two year olds. When we talk to the mom she just laughs and says, "you are a meany aren't you"? Like really... The parents of the other kids are very upset and wanna know who's hurting their child! But of course we can't tell them. AHH 😩 life of a daycare teacher is actually very hard

It's a state law where we can't tell. Because then the parents will question the other kids parents and then it will be a full out war. @mrsschmalz

@mrsschmalz, nope Indiana ! We write reports for each child. (Child who got hurt, and child who hurt them) and give them to the parents. But if they really wanted to know, all they would have to do is watch the cameras in our room and it will show them lol

The same rules apply in Texas, just FYI. It's a privacy thing. If your child gets hurt by another child they cannot tell you which kid did it, and if your child is the one doing the hurting they can't tell you who he/she injured. Most daycares will only put up with that sort of behavior for so long though before they kick the child out of their facilities. @mrsschmalz

I would get a hold of management. I had "that student" (I worked in the twos) as well and it would happen every day. Management would blame me for not watching the child but it wasn't my fault. I was also hit in the stomach. Honestly it's nothing you can really do but keep them as close to you as possible.

i worked in a private (in house) daycare for 9 years. i know the kind of kid you're talking about. when we did have a kid that was that disruptive, my boss would just give notice and tell the parents he or she needed a different kind of daycare. this kid is not gonna outgrow this over night, and i know it's really stressful on the teachers and the other children.

Management knows but they don't do anything about it. Like I'm sorry, but if this kid is hurting kids to the point there is scars on them.. Then they need to find a new daycare. Its not like I don't watch the kids, then having the parents asking questions, I feel for them though. If it were my kid I'd be pissed. @constancetinople @lexy03212015 @babyritchie1
