I used Vaseline and spread it around in his diaper so it didn't stick, and also used a q tip to spread it on his little peepee. Never had any problems and it healed very quickly! Seemed like he didn't even notice anything had happened either 😊
smear Vaseline on inside of diaper so it doesn't stick, antibiotic ointment on pee pee you do that every diaper change.. I put vaseline in the diaper longer than the doc told me cause it was still raw for about a week. each doc is different so follow their directions.. he will most likely sleep more after the procedure it's the only way babies can deal with the pain.. just be careful and try not to bump it holding him and such.. it's the saddest thing to see, but he will thank you later.. we just got completely healed and it's much easier now.. good luck 👍💕💖 @suez
They'll give you all the instructions on how to care for it. You use antibiotic ointment (they should provide little packets) for 3-5 days, I can't remember how long and you put some on at every diaper change, don't touch with your finger just squeeze it on and then put the diaper back on. After you're done with that you use Vaseline 3 times a day I believe. And after that it should be completely healed. Don't use wipes on it, if poop gets on it, get a wash cloth and squeeze water on it until the poop is off. It might start to peel, that's completely normal that just means it's healing! The biggest thing is keeping it from sticking to the diaper, it looks brutal but it will heal. They will tell you all the care instructions tomorrow :)
