Are you mommies letting your babies walk on their own time? or are you helping them?
Amiya crawls and can stand up on her own while holding onto something. She hasn't been able to let go yet. Sometimes I hold her hands and have her walk through the hallway so she can get used to walking. The only way she walks is along the walls and finding things to hold on to.
Yeah deff!! I just try to give my son some walk and standing tome everyday. We help him stand then slowly let go to see how long he can hold it
@muva.mermaid, aw thats great! I guess she'll have a better feeling of accomplishment when she does it on her own too!
I do the same my son loves the feeling of being a big boy now he is starting to stand on his own
she answers when I call but usually just crawls towards me instead lol @emiliasmommy15
haha lol yeah my daughter is an expert at the power crawl! @emiliasmommy15 I never seen a baby crawl so fast lol @mamawolf I'm gonna leave her to it then! I just thought I would help or something to get her used to it but she's been learning everything on her own like a pro so I gotta give it some time ❤ thanks ladies!
@chibibunnyx, also what u can do is sit on the floor n put her infront of u standing up n call her towards u, worked for us. She got comfortable doing tht n then taking steps on her own
@chibibunnyx, my daughter did that too at the beginning so sounds like you'll have a walker soon! :) my daughter was using her push walker and one day just let go and took 3 steps towards her favorite toys and that was the start of that lol wish we could post vids!!
@chibibunnyx, dont worry she will get there, my daughter was doing the same at 10mnths n lil after 11months she let go n took steps
@chibibunnyx, my daughter still does the same, but i noticed shes comfortable when she holds a toy or if shes eating snack n its in her hands then she walks everywhere but when she has nothing in her hands she will take a few steps n then sit down n go for the power crawl lol
she walks using furniture and all of that but still hasn't gotten to that phase where she lets go and tries walking on her own. when she sees theres nothing to hold on to she goes back to crawling lol @mamawolf
we haven't used a walker either. she kinda just did everything on her own lol. she lets me walk with her. but once she feels like it's better to crawl she's done lol @emiliasmommy15
I helped my daughter, she started furniture surfing around 7 1/2 months (little after she started crawling) and I use to hold her hands and got her a support walker then she started doing it on her own using it at around 8 months. Pro walker by 8 1/2-9 months.
I dont help my daughter when i tried to hold her hands so she can walk she didnt want to.. So i jst let her do it on her own n shes 11months and can take 6-9steps before she falls so shes getting there in her own time.. I also never used a walker with her. We bought her the standup walker so she used tht for a bit
@chibibunnyx, I do it on the bed since there is more cushion for the fall and cheer him on always so he doesnt think it is bad for him to fall
