I used to have this problem with my son, lucky for me I had a baby carrier and used to just do the house work while he slept on my chest. Or I took that time out to rest myself lol. X

Aww poor little love my little girl slept on me for the first few weeks, she goes down fine now so don't worry about bad habits I think when they are very little all they know is you so it's very scary not being near you. A sling or wrap is good as ceecee190 said X

Aww don't even let it stress you babe, though I know it's easier said than done. I found that my son wasn't comfortable which is why he would wake up and I know people frown if you don't do it the "right way" but you need to find what works for you. My son would only sleep on his tummy and when on his back he wanted pillows under his head so that's what I did. I would be in the room when he slept with a pillow but when he was lying on his tummy I would just check him from time to time X
