Okay so here's my birth story :)

I went in yesterday morning to have the pessary fitted and was fully expecting to go home a few hours later, didn't even take my hospital bag... They put in the pessary at about 10.15am and by 11 I was getting period cramp type pains and they monitored me but didn't want to send me home because Daisy had gone a bit quiet. By about 2pm my contractions were painful but still irregular so I chose to stay in. By the evening I was in a lot of pain but I wasn't dilated at all! At about 8pm I had pethidine because my contractions were so strong and about a minuet apart. That worked for a little while but then the pain got too much again so I begged for gas and air so they examined me and I was only 3cm but they gave me gas and air anyway even though they said I had to be 4cm... A few minuets later my body started to push and then within 20 mins from them saying I was only 3cm, she was born!! It hasn't quite sunk in yet 😂
