my beloved daughter Zelda is finally sleeping in her big girl crib 😚😢 she's too big for her newborn…

I have to say this.. Please please take her pillow and stuffed animals out of there. It's dangerous and if she turns over she can suffocate.. You don't want anything in the crib until much later.

I figured since she's still pretty young (×.×) my mother-in-law insisted on the pillow & stuffed animals so she could have support on her neck & to recognize color/objects @babyrossmommy

How old is she! Both my kids had a pillow at three months my oldest is 3 yrs and my youngest is 11 months he carrys his blankie and pillow everywhere! So u can imagine how it is every morning at the daycare they wouldn't let my son use his blankie or pillow and he would cry & cry until my husband told the lady off. I agree too many bears

For SIDS prevention you aren't supposed to have anything in the the crib. Only a tight fitted sheet and a baby. No pillow, blanket, animals, bumpers, etc. You can use a sleep sack instead of a blanket for warmth. It's not worth the risk.

Every child is different in many ways some can sleep in a sack and some can't. Only you know what your kid can handle and what he can't. And if you have kids you should know that bumpers protect your kids from getting there feet stuck in the crib if they were dangerous they wouldn't sell them at babies r us. Just my opinion.

There are plenty of things sold at BRU that aren't necessarily the safest options. There are breathable mesh bumpers for those who feel that getting an arm or leg stuck is a concern. But the other commenters above are correct that it is recommended that no blankets, animals, standard bumpers, etc. be used in the crib with baby. This isn't judging, but rather sharing info that some people might not know that could prevent SIDS or suffocation. Please consider doing some research on the topic if you're not sure or unconvinced. :-)

My baby has been sleeping with a pillow since she was born, she was that tiny that I'd put her on a pillow next to me. And if you would see her crib she has her pillow, and all her stuffed animals that she plays with all the time. Only you know what right and wrong. If you feel that it isn't safe or whatever then take them out lol. My daughter knows what she's doing and I'm always there next to her to keep and eye on her so it's literally no big deal

It's true you are the only person who knows your baby best and in the end you make the decisions but when it comes to suffocation and SIDS I'd rather be safe than sorry. none if the parents that have gone through that thought it would happen either.. not trying to bash I think everyone just wants to look out for each other and our little ones: )
