Opinions on amber teething necklaces?

I always see people with them on here that swear by them but I was reading an article on WTE website and they were saying they are dangerous!

@momagainjj82, I wondered if they were dangerous as far as it being a strangling hazard

I've never tried them but my friend swears by it & she puts it on her son's ankle.

My son wears one but I really don't see that much of a difference. He's still fussy and he still hurts so I think it's bogus.
