@mommyof5kayla, I bled each month I was supposed to have my period with my first pregnancy and even an OB told me its not a period, its implantation bleeding. I even had a second opinion and was told the same thing, women cannot get periods while pregnant.

I had a friend who had her period for half of her pregnancy she didn't know she was pregnant till she was 7 months everyone is different and all doctors say different stuff but yes it is possible but hey what you were told is for you I'm not an expert on it I'm just saying from what I saw and had seen my friends go threw

@mommyof5kayla, she's right, a menstrual period only occurs if the egg is not fertilized, so nobody can have one if pregnant. It is possible to bleed during pregnancy. All blood from the vagina does not mean period.

@jadasmommy_, thank you. you explained it better than I could've lol. @mommyof5kayla I also didn't know I was pregnant either till the very end of my second trimester, I literally thought it was my period. and yes your right all doctors say different things, and I'm not saying you're wrong either for what your friend went thru.

That's usually true but my grandma had a period each month up until she had my mom. Although I know that's super rare and wouldn't tell anyone that they will get a period. Lol

Lol I totally agree!! But pull out worked for me and husband for 8 years. Only got pregnant when we wanted to. But everyone is different!

Is it called a period (where you release an egg because it wasn't fertilized) No. However, your walls can still shed, and you can "have a period while pregnant." So you were 5 months pregnant still having IMPLANTATION bleeding even though the egg clearly implanted 5 months ago? Lol oh...

@nay2greene yes I bled till I was 5months. And it doesn't mean it was implantation bleeding and I never said it was. There are many reason to bleed during pregnancy, implantion isn't the only reason. So what so LOL about that?
