I didn't like giving my (full term) son the full dosage but I'm sure there's a reason why it's best to take the full dose. Are you alternating between Tylenol and ibuprofen?

he is teething AND he just had 3 shots plus the oral rotavirus vaccination today @karnamarie

@sarahemccormick oh yeah... mine always ran fevers with both teething and vaccines especially younger shots

This is what my doctor gave me 2.5 should be fine Tylenol safe for their tummies my son ran a small fever with his shots also

I never give my daughter more than 1.25 ml it usually works for her they don't always need what the dosage chart says

@ab, yep I have the same chart. My thing is, Acetaminophen overdose can and will kill a baby. I'm crazy, OCD, and paranoid about health related things. Dosing meds for a baby or kids for me sometimes results in a panic attack for me. I can clearly see if I have, say , 2.0 in the syringe. Give it to him. Then question whether I gave him too much and if he really had more than I thought and etc. It's vicious. So. with Tylenol, I'm crazy. Wish it wasn't that way for me 😧

I don't blame you I'm sure 2.0 is just fine my son always ends up spitting some out so I know he not taken the full dose the fever shouldn't last no longer then 1 day give him a bath also it will help bring his fever down also hope little man feels better soon
