They didn't even try a sweep until I was 6 days over 😒 they won't induce until 40+12! xx @raych

@karenb1601, my midwife said they use to do it at 40+14 but because the induction process can take a few days they changed it to 40+12 because apparently the placenta starts to die at 2 weeks overdue xx

i know hun. its bloody stupid. even my midwife said she doesnt agree. she thinks that women should be offered induction at 40+7 to minimise the risks of the placenta deteriorating and also because it doesnt always work first time. some women need more than one pessary so leaving it till 14 days over just seems silly. hope all goes well for u tomora hun. cant wait to see pics of yr lil one @firsttimemummy21 x

@karenb1601, apparently they're going to see if they can break my waters which is very unlikely, if they can't they'll do the pessary and then try the gel if that doesn't work 😩 it's like a 2-3 process xx
