okay im not saying im going to try it but i was wondering if any of you ladies have tried checking your own cervix for dilation and efacement. i read an article about it so just curious!

I checked my cervix one time and went to the er because I thought I was dilated and they looked at me like I was crazy, they said it's dangerous because of bacteria and you can break your water so they don't recommend it!

can you break your water even if youre not dilated? the article i read about this was pretty interesting so just figured i get some input from people.who have done it! @bentleysmomma

I think so yeah! The doctors did not like it at all that I did it, so I haven't done it since

Not sure how that'd work if you're doing it by yourself?? But probably safer than using your fingers @mommyslittleman
