Does gas&air; make you "high"? 😩 if it does, I don't know what I'm going to do because I won't be…

it makes your head spin abit at first. but then it just helps loads to take the edge off the pain. it comes out your system so quick.. x

It didn't make me feel high as such as it just switches off your brain for a min or so from the intense pain and gives u something to concentrate on/ as soon as u stop breathing it in it leaves your system. If you only use it when your in agony can't cope kinda thing u won't feel high. If u use it in early labour it can make u feel high for a moment. But it doesn't last at all

It's the light headed out of it feeling that makes me panic :(

I know what u mean which is why I don't have pethadine but I had no issues with gas. I'd say only use if your climbing the walls and see how u go.

honestly hun when your in pain it will be a god send. I find the pethidine makes me feel high, dosy, and out of it. your in control more with gas and air x

Awe hun :) you'll be fine. Just see how you feel in labour :) Pushing works way better than gas and air :) xx

lol it does,don't worry about your in labour with or without gas you'll say things you regret lol I apologised so much 2 my midwife lol xx

omg it made me go mad like onto another planet haha i thought everything was so funny when I was on that it was like I had done 30 shots of vodka😂 my midwife said in all her time being a midwife shed never seen anyone quite like me on gas and air they thought I was hilarious. my mum recorded me aswell😂 I loved it although it did make me sick so I stopped using it lol x

It made me really sick so stopped using it after 5 mins and got her out with no pain relief!! The pain was bad but as soon as you've pushed them out you completly forget about it! Xx

I had it but couldn't use it felt as though I'd been on a night out :/ and can't stand the drunk feeling but someone got some use out of it 😂 x
