My grandmother tried to hand me someone's baby and I said I didn't want to hold her because I had been playing with the dog and hadn't washed my hands (also I just get really anxious with other ppls babies). She laughed at me. Like she seriously laughed at me and was like "oh, no, miss priss has to sanitize her hands. I haven't washed mine either! what about when it's your baby? will you hold her?"
Yes? Obviously. And I'll wash and sanitize my hands before doing so, as will anyone else who wants to hold her. I didn't realize there was anything "prissy" about wanting to have clean hands when holding a baby that's too young to get any vaccinations.
If anyone has an issue with sanitizing their hands before holding my kid, they won't be holding her. I also will not be letting anyone kiss her face because people are gross with germs and diseases and I don't want them planting their germs and diseases on my newborn.

and definitely don't let anyone kiss the baby's mouth! my husband and I only kiss our kids on the cheek/forehead because we know what we do with our mouths and the germs, so we can only imagine other peoples mouths. my mom keeps trying to kiss my youngest on the mouth and gets mad when I tell her ass not to(she smokes ciggs, kisses everyone on the mouth, and I'm sure she does other drugs), and I feel kissing on the mouth should be done with your partner anyways. lol sorry for the long comment but keep all those germs away from your baby.
