So yesterday at 6am woke up in agony could barely move my back the top of my bump kept going really tight like my lung was being pulled and kept getting on and off pains told my mum and she started timing them. By 10 am they'd turned into regular contractions of 10 minuets and lasting 1 and over the next 6 they managed to shorten to every 6 min lasting 3 min by this time I couldn't take it no more my chest was killing me (I have a heart problem so the stress was taking it out on my heart) so I called the L&D after having my nan and mum tell them what was happening because I couldn't talk with the pain they told us to come in. Got there about 7pm wasn't seen till 8:30 by this point the pain was that bad my heart problem caused me to pass out in the waiting room (normal for me) so the nice midwife decided to examine me since we didn't know what was going on and why I was in so much pain (she didn't think they where contractions) and she couldn't even reach my cervix so she decided to check baby boy and see if there was anything she could feel turns out he's back to back which is causing me all the pain they monitored his heart and because he was moving couldn't get a nice enough reading so decided at 11pm with a new midwife to do a repeat examination and monitoring. I was devastated when they told me nothing had happened in the first exam so to have another to confirm made me more upset but I allowed the midwife to do it well ladies after all my troubles in this pregnancy in just under 3 hours I'd managed to get my cervix to drop right now so she could feel it nearly instantly it start to thin it's at 1cm now still a little thick I'm nearly 2 cm dilated and she can feel baby's head engaged and both my membranes where bulging, the most loveliest midwife I've had made my day 1000x better in an instant she then told me I was allowed to go home but she thinks she'll see me again either in the next few hours or days but she thinks that my body is finally getting itself into gear 38 weeks and 2 to days so glad me and baby have made it this far (they didn't think he'd make it to 28 weeks) but I can't wait to meet my little man now xxxxx good luck everyone
