Could you deal with the mom's name (or something similar) as a middle name? If you start out with a compromise, maybe he'll be more understanding. Tell him you've had your heart set on name X for your baby and that you want her to have her own unique name not named after someone. If he's still a jerk after having time to process it, play the bitch card. You're the mama, you get at least 51% of the vote! Remember you fill out the birth certificate!
