I saw this status and had screenshot it. THIS IS JUST ME but would love to see how other people…

I grew up getting everything i wanted but I only shop @ baby stores with a few big name brand things because she's gonna grow out of it so quick. it's not worth spending all the money to me. she doesn't even know those brands so no need to go all out. plus I have a little girl so it's a little different when it comes to name brand things.

That's me. Don't get me wrong I have a few "nice" outfits, polos for my son and smocks for my daughter but for the most part it's walmart and children's place! Why spend a fortune on clothes they grow out of in a month

I think that your children should come first when it comes to buying extra things, unnecessary things, instead of buying them for yourself. If you already have a house, and car and all the essential things that you need then go ahead and buy whatever the hell you want! But if you are barley making bills, have no car, ect then I don't think you should be buying pointless expensive things. We are on a tight income since I'm a SAHM but ours kids always have nice clothes ( that are on sale )toys, everything they would need, ect but I'm not buying 100$ shoes/clothes that they can only wear for a month. I also think that if you are well off and can purchase all these things, you need to also teach your children that money and material things aren't what life is about.

@aniyahsmommy0403, yes I think it is different for girls and boys. I shop at baby stores too but I also get him name brand things just cause I had it growing up and I can get it for him so why not.

I agree with you. Who cares what people think? I have clothes for my daughter that are next to nothing, and then clothes for her that are outrageous. If I like it, I buy it! There's only so long before they start fighting you wanting to wear what THEY want to wear, so I'm going to dress her like I like as long as I can! 😍😊

I honestly think if I had a boy I'd be more willing to buy Jordan's and stuff. you can put walmart sandals on a little girl. & atleast you still shop @ baby stores. I had a friend that would not step foot in children's place, carters etc.. if you got it then buy it. I think we all splurge on certain things for our kids.

@mommy_faith, yeah I agree with you. If you can't afford but still do it then that's just dumb. I know my mom made sure I knew the value of a dollar, reason why I've always had a job since I was 15, sometimes two at a time. Well make sure to teach Jaycion the same thing but being one were just enjoying him being little.

@aniyahsmommy0403, yes like I love going to carters and children's place and baby gap just because they have really cute things but if I find polo shirts or baby Levi's that are cute I buy that too. I think it just all depends on circumstances and the gender of the child too.

my husband brings home well over 1K a week, and we don't spoil our kids. We COULD. But we choose not to. That being said, they have very nice things. But I see no point in buying a baby expensive designer stuff they are gonna be grown out of in a couple weeks.

I'm the same way however you can get lots of name brand stuff for super cheap at like tj maxx, marshals and Nordstrom rack!

Same here I am not going to buy all that designer stuff as long as my babies are clean and matching I'm happy

I wouldn't spend that extra money on designer name clothing that they will grow out in a month or so. I rather invest that money into my kids future, college funds, first car etc... even if I'm well off... just my opinion.
