This question might sound silly but I can't remember from years ago lol I'm just checking my tommy…

they stay sterile for 24 hours. think it says in the instructions. however if they're exposed to germs they will obviously have germs lol. leave them in the steriliser until you need them?!?

They stay sterile for 24 hours if the unit is left unopened, no idea how long they are sterile for if its open, I've looked every where. I talk all the bottles out and fill with the water I need and leave to cool then pop in the fridge, heat then add the formula. I make 4 bottles at a time, if any haven't been used by 12 hours, I get rid. I sterilise in the morning then at night before bed @hawkie75 x

So if I take the lid off to take one bottle out to use in prep machine them would I have to set the steriliser away again for the next feed lol?

@cookedsushi, oh thanks Hun that's what I was thinking, what would be the point of sterilising 6 bottles in the first place if you can only use one then have to do it all again lol cheers honey xxx

no..just take one out and put the lid back on. will he fine

If you take them out and put the lids on straight away the inside of the bottle stays sterile for 24 hours, I've got a prep machine and take the bottles I need up with me at night and the prep machine xx
