I'm very very house proud and I get stressed if the flat is messy... Does anyone have any tips on…

just pick up stuff off the floor often and Hoover when baby is awake. Do the other things when baby is sleeping but make sure you rest too. I'm the same, get so stressed when it's messy but don't have the energy to tidy x

@firsttimemummy21, exactly the same and as a single parent it's even harder😂 but I do dishes as we use them, Hoover when he's up in the morning and quite happy lying on his mat or in his chair, dust, Polish and bleach kitchen and bathroom etc when he's sleeping. If he won't settle, I'll do it when he goes down at night. But in the first 2 weeks take it easy, I over did it and set myself back another 2 weeks and my mum had to look after my son because I literally couldn't move or so the simple things like sit down to change a nappy or bath him! So take it easy and don't over do it! Xx

Hun I was the same! Infact I was cleaning in the hospital but as soon as I got home that all went out the window I've only just cleaned today it's not the baby stooping me it's the pain stooping me from doing it xx

@firsttimemummy21 Hoovering when they are awake will get them use to the noise :) They'll actually find it relaxing and fall asleep to it :) You can get a baby carrier/sling :) So you can carry bubs close to you when cooking..cleaning etc xx

It's a lot easier with a new born than a 6 month old plus lol

I Hoover when my little one is awake or asleep my grandma always said to do it when they are asleep because they get used to it and won't wake up to little noises xx

I'm doing it atm I don't know if you'll have your partner there but he's been helping, also cause I had to have c section I'm not allowed to do much but whenever she's asleep in the day I tidy up and clean xx
