I think you're wrong for denying your husband is name to the child, and the experience of him being there! I mean to share that in the most respectful way.

My husband isn't quit that extreme. He doesn't like to feel or see her nice because he says it weirds him out. But he does try to make it to every appointment. He helped pick her name. He's not into all the shopping and clothes he just tells me " tell me how much it is and I will buy it" every guy is different. If he wants to be there in the delivery room you should allow him that right. Have you heard of the saying " a women becomes a mom the moment she finds out she's pregnant, a man becomes a father the moment he sees his child"

@baby1004, I agree! That saying is so true. My Husband is the best. He is involved in everything. But even he still doesn't quite get it. It also happens that we have many first time dads around us, and they tell me the same thing. It didn't hit them until they were in the hospital.
