ladies, I see a few of yall doing blood tests to find out the gender of the baby early. did y'all…

I asked my dr @_jfelder_

when my OB found out i was adopted and have no knowledge of my family history, he actually recommended doing the genetic testing. he told me it would also determine gender. your OB can also tell you if its covered by your insurance or if you would have to pay out of pocket.

thank you! I will definitely be asking him at my next appt. I'm too anxious to find out and it intensifies everytime i see y'all finding out early because I didn't realize taking blood to find out the gender was an option! haha @wife_mother03

i didnt have to ask, she just told me she was doing it because of DS

well I am already scheduled to do the test to check for DS. so I will hopefully find out the gender when I get the results for that test. I'll be talking to him about it. @hermommy

I've heard some doctors will only do it if you are high risk for things. I am 20, perfectly healthy and my doctor asked if I wanted it simply because she knew my insurance covered it. It was so nice to find out so soon. we are having a girl!
