yes they will test when baby is born. not sure if before or not. they will take baby if it shows up in your system

I heard that they test more frequently but don't always take the baby. the won't let you breastfeed but you should be fine.

Yes they will drug test you, however I don't know if they'll take your baby for it. My ob even drug tested all her patients randomly

Not every child gets tested, only if they suspect it @owynngenesmommy07316 and I know here in NY they do not remove your child for marijuana

My aunt smoked throughout her whole pregnancy.. They tested her & told her to stop but she didn't. They didn't take her son but he was born prematurely. Not sure if it was b/c of the smoking tho.

yes they drug test you and baby. if there is weed in the sl babies system cps gets called and then you may risk them taping the baby. not every case is the same but you will have to quit and be clean to keep your baby I know that for sure. I'm not being judgemental but there are medications that are safer to take that could've helped you with eating. I'm on a Zofran pump bc I couldn't keep anything down. but I know in Arizona you'll have to take drug tests and have a safety monitor so you can't be alone with baby. the only reason why I know this is bc it's happened to my sister and my ex sister and my ex. it's not worth it. so if you can stop now it's so much easier I promise

No. They more so test for stronger drugs such as heroin. I've smoked my entire pregnancy as well (moderated) cus I have extreme manic level 2 disorder & it keeps me leveled. My doctor never test for it & she knows I do it & said they won't let me breast feed. That's all 😊😊

I heard it's changed a lot recently, but they definitely drug test you when you're giving birth and they test the baby and if you both test positive DCF has to be involved in Mass anyways

depends where you are, but for me here on Cali i get drug tested every prenatal visit. i don't have a history of using any drugs but i think it's mandatory. they do check all babies at birth for drugs etc...idk if they'll take the baby away though

@jennamarie100814, my midwife knows I do too, she says they don't take babies for just marijuana but I keep hearing otherwise and if I'm getting induced next week I just want to be emotionally prepared

they test you and baby..if you.both test positive DCF will be involved..in MA for sure, not sure about Rhode Island?

no they wont i do also have a very bad eating disorden and my daughter ia o years old now and shes fine but son is 3 month and hes fine too and they never drug test me or nothing ..
