I'm curious.. do baby boys just generally spit up more than baby girls? My son is almost 5 months old and he has spit up a lot since the beginning. I've changed his formula once and it didn't do much. Now a friend of mine has a baby girl the same age and she doesn't spit up nearly as much and my cousin just had a baby girl and she rarely spits up...

😕😕 that I'm not so sure about, but when my son was like 1-3 months he would spits up A LOT! It probably started gradually decreasing around 4/5 months, and now at 8 months it happens very infrequently.

@arielannette, really?? thanks so much! All this time I was thinking I should be doing something about it but I guess there is nothing I need to do. When is it fully developed?

They do actually! That little flap in the throat that helps keep liquids/foods down develops more slowly in boys, making them more prone to frequent spit up.
