so my doctor told me today that baby is big, like almost 7lbs big and if she gets bigger then 9lb 9oz he wont deliver her vaginally. so now im freaking out because a csection is like my worst nightmare. ftm and im scared

You can't always go by what the doctors say. They kept telling me that my baby was going to be between 8 and 9lbs but she was only 6lbs 12.8ozs.

@britt16, im just worried because he said if she is showing bigger then 9lb 9oz on the ultrasound he will have to do a csection

I'm going through this right now. like britt said go with what you feel. They can't make you have a c section. if my baby had came before Wednesday I would have said screw the doctor's but now my body is telling me that I can't do it

I know but ultrasounds kept saying my daughter was much bigger and she really wasn't. They told my friend that delivered two days before me that he baby was weighing in at 9lbs 9oz but her baby was much smaller also. @firsttimemommy13

Elliot was estimated to weigh 6lbs 1oz, he came out weighing 5,9. He was born via emergency c section, c sections aren't the end of the world. I wanted to deliver vaginally too but believe me the health of your baby makes the pain worth it.

nope. especially if you say "I do not consent to a c section" if they do it without your permission you can sue them for assault

They can't make you have a c section. Plus like these ladies have said its just a guess. They told a friend of mine her son would be born 14lbs and he was only 8-9lbs when he was born. So I wouldn't go by that at all. They told me my daughter would be at least 8 lbs. she was 6lbs 15oz.

C section was my worst nightmare too. I ended up with one though because my pelvis was too narrow for baby's head. He was 9 lbs even at birth. The c section itself wasn't bad at all and it's healed so so great, you literally can't even see the scar. The recovery was pretty painful for a couple days but after about a week I was fine! I'm 3 weeks PP and not even bleeding anymore! So if you do end up with a c section it'll be okay :) I'm a FTM too and was very very scared
