I'm having a bad day. My family are having a hard time dealing with my son who is autistic (high functioning). I'm really having a hard time wondering why it's so hard for them to understand that he's not this way bc he wants to be nor is it his fault. I just want him to be accepted by his loved ones, he'll be judged enough by outsiders. He doesn't need it from his family members. I just don't feel like I need to be worried about this at 6 months pregnant. Then that brings me to think what if Marleigh is diagnosed with autism? How will they deal with both my children having it? Kind words would be nice I'm just sad for my son. Some people will never get it. 😥😓😢

I'm sorry you and your baby have to deal with that. Some people just don't understand and have a hard time accepting things. I hope they come around sooner rather than later. He (and you) need all the love and support you can get, especially with another baby coming into the picture soon. Best wishes mama.

I am in the same boat as you. My 6yr old son is high functioning autistic, with some other problems. His father's side of the family doesn't spend very much time with him, but they always want to take his little brother to do things (little brother does not have autism) and not only does it piss me off, but my son gets his feelings hurt. After my daughter is born, I am moving with my kids and their fathers family will not be seeing my boys much, if at all. It's not our kiddos faults that they are who they are. My son is amazing on so many levels, and I never seem to have problems with him, but maybe it's because I understand and advocate for him. I wish everyone else would be as understanding with him.

I just feel bad for him bc he can sense frustration and judgement and when he gets upset bc of something an adult says about an innocent child really pisses me off you know. @torrilove14
