Why Do Retail Workers Face Such Abuse?
RANT ! I've had enough of working in retail I'm doing my job checking a returning item and I get called an idiot as i checked the size twice as I was unsure. And told how I don't know how to do my job so when I give the lady her item back and tell her I don't have to serve her and that she can find someone who knows how to do their job to do so, I get shouted at and called every name under the sun. So when my manager makes an appearance and she gets served she makes the point of saying " that wasn't hard was it blonde bimbo look at you you white trash" so I tell her to move from my till and not to talk to me because I don't wish to converse with her anymore and she tells me she hopes my daughters born with no legs. I retaliated in calling her a tramp and she gets her daughter ( no older than 7 ) to spit at me. It lands on my arm so she took it upon herself to spit in my face again. I snapped and told her to get out the tramp and she once again threatens me with violence which I don't mind however screaming across the shop that she hopes I loose my unborn child is vile how can people be so mean I don't understand where I asked for any of that. Sick of my job

That's absolutely disgusting! how dare she treat you like that and get away with it!! ...you're not there to be abused and your manager should have dealt with it appropriately and at the very least kick her out the store, ban her and even contact the police...she spat in your face!!! 😡😡😠😠 I'm fuming for you because that's one of the most insulting things you can do, you should have called the police...I'm sure that's assault, you're heavily pregnant and being attacked verbally and physically. I'm so sorry you had to go through that hun xx

if the manager dont do anything about it u shoukd complain against them as u dont need that especially if you are working ro support your child and if it was me i woukd have been going mental and walked out as youndont need the stress neither does your baby xx

Don't let it bother you. She's obviously a tramp and what a crap mum to teach her daughter those manners. Karma will get her for that. Try not to stress out too much there's so many horrible people out there that will never change. X
