@jonahsmommy2, Very strict diet, I have to take my blood sugar 4 times a day, go see a dietician, and a high risk doctor for NST's to make sure my daughter isn't getting too big!
@jonahsmommy2, The only thing I can think that would be related to having it was a couple times I've gotten super dizzy. My twin sister had GD and she felt the same way at times. My doctor was super shocked that I have it because of how small I am for almost 7 months pregnant. He said that he thinks the only reason I have it is because of the history in my family. My twin sister, mom, & grandma had it.
no one has had GD that I know of but diabetes run in my family so that's why I'm concerned. plus my sweet tooth is bad. I'm not small lol but have lost about 25 lbs this pregnancy and gained about 5 now. @haleymclain1121
@haleymclain1121, You don't go over 15g of carbs in the mornings & you're allowed 25g for lunch and supper. You eat a small snack in between, and a bed time snack like crackers or something. Keep your protein intake up, and exercise after you eat, or take a 30 min walk, with lots of whatever. increase your veggie intake, lots of greens. I eat what I want, but I've learned what makes it rise. I've never had mine get out of control. I'm on a 1,800 calorie diet tho. @jonahsmommy2 the only sign I had for it was increased thirst, but there isn't always signs.

@kbrown91, I have no idea how to count carbs and all that. Was it hard to adjust to?

and honestly the diet isn't that strict. I'm allowed 180 carbs a day. carbs and protein go hand in hand.

@kbrown91, I pretty much do all of that already so I guess I'm on the right track!
