My step dad 8sed to ground me for stupid shit like I took the tv remote in my room (I have ADD so i still do little things like that when I'm not paying attention)but my mom Never punished my step brothers that was like a hell no.

Yes my husband does discipline my daughter to a certain extent but never would cross that line.

My opinion is it depends on how long uve been together. I never let anyone discipline my children until my ex husband and I were together for over a year and yes we aren't together now but we were for 9 years there was many times he was home with the kids but I was working he never spanked them but he would put them in the corner or make them sit. My SO and I have 6 kids yes I get after his 4 yo when she's doing something she's not supposed to and I will put her in the corner and he will also but neither of us spank the others children usually it doesn't come to that with out kids though just the mere getting stern with them makes them realize we aren't playing

My husband has been my daughters active father since she was 8 mos old and he refuses to discipline her. He will tell her no no but he chooses to distract her instead of disciplining her. Now we are expecting and he says he don't think he will be able to discipline this one either I said oh lord lol. The only discipline my daughter gets is a tap on the hand if she is touching something she knows she shouldn't be but he just can't do it haha. I told him when she's older he's at least gonna have to do time out!
