she came and took her back :'( I don't know what to do. I don't want her in the bad foster homes…

You don't have to be related, family is always where they want to place a child they do background checks on everyone and if you are more fit than a relative you have a chance. Every aspect of your life is under a microscope when you want a child who is placed. Is baby in care or with her mom?

@kaylajay, if she isn't with child services and you call just provide all the information you have, let them know you are willing to do whatever is needed to keep her with you while they start the process.

with her mom. her mom still live with her parents too so they are out of the running. but the state does family members, then foster homes, then we can have her if they can't place her anywhere and we are able to care properly. the foster homes here are scary.

@kaylajay, I worked for family services in VA I don't know how much different it is where you are, but if you have any questions I'll be happy to help. Call if you haven't already ready called child services normally has a list of pre-screened families to place baby with while they start the process of investigation if they see baby needs immediate removal, it would have been best to call while she was still with you.

we woke up to a message saying to get her ready. wasn't even awake an hour. we were gonna call today. I just don't want her to end up in the homes here where they only do it for the money @surprise4
