It's not been transferred by mosquito in the US. There are absolutely travel/sexually transmitted cases. Everyone should be taking precautions but should also be aware of the regions where to mosquitoes that are able to carry the disease reside. Knowledge is power.

There's a difference between there being cases of Zika in the US and the actual mosquito's that carry them being in the US. The cases are of people who have gotten the virus after being over seas or have received it through sexual transmission from someone who has it.

@phinnybinz, @hugoandrosiesmamhu If those people get bit and then that mosquito gets to you, you might get it? That's my point, there's already supposedly 222 cases pending. That's a lot.

Some reassuring info

People who get the virus are required to stay inside a medical facility or inside their own homes for private care for 3 weeks. After 3 weeks is up, they should be fine around other mosquitos. They don't become like zombies for the rest of their lives spreading it left and right.

Actually, I think its less than 3 weeks. More like a week.
