okie I'd really like everybody's two cents on newborn "needs" verses things that can be bought at a later time. money isn't an issue however, I'm just trying to not be so overwhelmed by what i need to buy & buy too much shit i don't necessarily need at all.
examples; what the newborn will sleep in the first night he's home (other than his crib) because i want him to sleep in our room. i will be breastfeeding. we're going to purchase just one new car seat with a stroller at first instead of two (since we have two cars). im not going to buy a dresser for a while. i know i need a crib, changing table.
any advise is welcomed, thanks!😁

I personally think that a changing table is a waste of space and not necessary. I have a changing pad on top of my sons dresser.

Tiny newborns don't need much. Clothes, diapers, your boobs, and a blanket. I would rather get stuff a little early than try to get it with an infant. I got some great hand me downs, so that has helped a ton!

We bought a pack n play that comes as a crib but has a changing table that you can swing off and a basinet that you can carry around

For me a crib, pack and play, dresser and a swing have been the only necessary big items. And a travel system. I also bought a play mat and a sit me up seat. My son is 7wks and I haven't found them necessary yet. A baby bath tub, a couple towels. Really they don't need much yet. My son uses bottles (we have 12) which I hand wash and dry. And diapers and wipes! If you're gonna be pumping I would get a lot of storage bags and extra bottles that fit onto your breast pump. I was gonna drop a lot of money before I realized the Wal-Mart bottles fit onto it.

Well it depends on what your birth plan is. I breast fed and didn't need a nursing pillow bottles or any of that.
The baby slept with me so we didn't need a bassinet or a crib even though we had them. A swing is a must if you need to set the baby down!! Then obviously burp clothes diapers wipes and clothes but my kids never took a passifire so we didn't need those lol. Use a cute bag to hold all important necessities for when you leave the house. That's basically it.

Ohh and maybe a cheap tub for the baths you can use regular wash clothes. People just go all out I know I did at first now I really don't care lol

the only stuff that my daughter really needed were pack n play diappers, wipes, a couple receiving blankets, a thick blanket, and a few onesies i had so much crap that i didng really need she has a crib but mostly naps there when im cleaning her room thats it
