How old was your baby when you started putting rice cereal in their milk?

I never put it in either of my kids milk, my pediatrician told me that it's never good to put it in their milk I started feeding them rice cereal mixed with formula with no baby food when they were three months though

man I wanna know that too

Just before bed

My baby is 4 weeks we give her half a teaspoon once a day I put it in my breast milk to hold her cause its a lil light...but it's up to you....my family is haitian and told me to go for it

My Dr told me to wait until 4 months unless not getting enough then sooner

Oh ok.. thank you ladies.. my mom and MIL says to because my twins refuse to sleep during the night and then want to sleep all day.. my daughter and son were up literally 12-4:45a.. they fought their sleep so hard I was about to go insane. . they will be 1 month old saturday..I'm like isn't that too young..but they told me just a sprinkle.. I don't want anything to happen to them just to get them on schedule @mybabyloves @phephe434 @kellynicole @maxie ..does it put her to sleep?

My baby is going to be a month on Saturday also and it honestly depends I noticed that she has been sleeping longer during the night....but if you put cereal put only a small amount and see how they tolerate it first and only do it once I recommend

I don't know about the cereal but I give my daughter a warm bath at night and a warm battle and it works for her even though she hates the bath lol

I never did, I was taught there is a reason babies wake up frequently to eat.

@phephe434, I do that with my twins..and after midnight it goes down lol they are like noooo it's time to really put you guys to work @phephe434

man that would drive me nuts lol but it seems like they do need something a little more heavy my mom just said a little cereal would work just not too much because they can't fully digest heavy meals

You are not suppose to put in the bottle. You are suppose to give it to the baby a spoon. You give cereal at 4 months that what doctor and box says. But I gave daughter a little at 2 months. Their stomachs cannot break the cereal down when you give it to early. With my son I started at 3 months
