I'm not sure what it is but in my moms group I saw a post like this recently and several said their babies had lumps so must be fairly normal?

It could be milk... Babies lactate due to all the hormones they get while in the womb. Is it red? Hot to touch and tender?. Is it too late in the day to call his doc? If it doesn't hurt him and he doesn't have a fever, I wouldn't take him to the ER. Way to many germs

my son's nips were the same way... asked my ped and he said it was hormones from breastfeeding

If you are breastfeeding it could be from your hormones. My daughter got that too and then it went away.

I do breastfeed @momagainjj82 so maybe that's what it is? I have the Mirena IUD so I wonder if it's messing with him somehow 😢 My poor baby, I hope it isnt painful! @momagainjj82, no problem! I freaked out the first time I saw my baby's lump on her breast but the pedi said it was normal! It went away pretty fast.
