First time mom! they've scheduled my c-section for Thursday. any advice you ladies could give me? like what to pack in my bag, what to expect, anything you can think of.
The belly shaper fits perfectly. Is the waist trainer Velcro or hook and eye?? It needs to be very adjustable. Your belly will look about 6month pregnant right after and shrink down in a few days. The one they gave me in the hospital was with Velcro. I bought one with hook and eye after 4 weeks
@valrocks, I'm high risk & my doc doesn't want to risk me giving birth naturally. the belly shaper won't irritate the incision? I have a waist trainer, will that work?
I am taking my own pads and some snacks for afterwards and some lip palm and my baby's clothes and blankets and onesies and socks and my coming home clothes and my baby's coming home clothes and soap to bathe myself with
Buy some granny panties that come up over your belly button. For me it wasn't about my hips getting wider it's that you don't want anything close to your incision. Find out if he hospital gives you a belly shaper. If they don't get one and put it in as soon as you can. It was a life saver. And make sure to stay on top of your pain meds. My nurses kept "forgetting" to give me mine. I had to remind them and by then I was already in pain.
And labor hurts but I went natural. If you think you can take then pain then you probably can . I left the house being 7 cm dilated and not even knowing it . Take as much pain as you can from contractions as you can before leaving the house . Other wise you'll just be at the hospital for 16 hours . Wait till contracts are 3-4 mins apart
This is a big tip ! Bring cough drops , during labor your mouth gets dry and your not able to drink . I probably went through a half of a bag . I wish I would of brought bigger under wear ! ( my hips got wider after and I was unable to fit my own )
