Does a nipple shield help the LO stay latch or does it just protect your nipple, of both?

Little of both, my bitty just weaned herself off of hers but she used it cause she had an upper lip tie and she couldn't stay latched, the liptie made her gassy and noisy when she ate

I used it to help E latch, but I've heard it helps if your nipples are cracked and sore too

Sweet! Cuz I was thinking of getting one and my issue is getting a good latch that he fights me that I get so discouraged that I'd just pump and give it to him in a bottle and I really want to breastfeed! So I'm going to go get a nipple shield. Thank you @kennedydanielle @vb95

Target carries them but Walmart you have to order them. @aydans.mommy good luck to you 😊😊 check and see if he has a lip or tongue tie or ask his ped to look cause that can cause it
