I did mine last week @rach0402. Just said hubby to be partner, want to have gas and air and pethidine if needed. Be mobile..I asked to have the injection to release the placenta and to wait a couple mins before cutting the cord. that was about it really. xx

I can't remember what it's called but instead of waiting for the placenta to detach and come away in its own time it hurrys it along @rach0402. baby has gotta be detached from the cord though. xx

Doing mine tomorrow with midwife. I was gonna have the injection to speed up delivery of placenta, but want to delay the clamping and cutting of the cord, so can't. They give the injection into the thigh as your baby is born then have to clamp and cut the cord to stop it transferring to baby thru the placenta x

Arh maybe I did have that with my son but really can't remember feel like I'm going through this as a first timer again as I just can't remember, apart from the pain 🙈😂 Thank you though ladies @mich77 @ssumner xx

I'm having delayed clamping @ssumner and then the injection once clamped @rach0402. maybe each hospital is different....or depends how delayed you mean by delayed xx (I'm delaying by minutes)

@mich77, is usually only delayed by about 3-5 minutes I thought?
