How many moms plan on using a pacifier ? I've read pros in cons and want to know everyone's opinion.…

I plan on not using one just because I plan on breastfeeding and then later on I would rather not have to wean baby off of a pacifier. @mrs.holliman

Mine wouldn't take one but personally I was glad because it's so hard to break them from one

I didn't want to use a pacifier ..... But if your baby has to go to the NICU they'll shove my in your baby's mouth without even asking you... I almost shit myself 😡

Our first took his all the time, it was hard to wean him but we got to the point where we just threw them away (best solution). Our second wanted nothing to do with them. Our 3rd only takes one if he is going down for a nap or for bed. I love this way, he is my only breastfed baby and I prefer him going to sleep with a pacifier than to pacify himself on my breast to sleep (not saying sometimes it doesn't happen, because it does). This way others can rock him for naps and what not too, since no one else can feed him.

My son uses a pacifier but only to sleep. He doesn't depend on it and can go without it.

My daughter uses one. I didn't give her one until she was about 2 weeks old. Reason being it was the only way to comfort her especially when she didn't want held, laid down, swaddled, or even her swing and she had a clean diaper and full belly. She had acid reflux real bad. If it wasn't for that I wouldn't have given her one.

Didn't use one with my first and don't plan to with my second. just my opinion on what I've noticed being thay she had 6 cousins all the same age, all used binky except my daughter and her vocabulary is so much more than those who pacify. allows them to self soothe instead of relying on pacifier. some use it as a mute button, personally like my child speaking her mind lol
