It would make me sad to but don't let it get to you to much you have a baby on the way. It one of the most amazing things in life. I had my first child at 17 and had a lot of family disown me but really it's their loss.

it's normal to feel sad about this. but if your own parents arent supportive of this then honestly as much as it sucks just tell yourself it doesn't matter. if your boyfriend is by your side and loves you. that's all you need bc you're a family now with a baby on the way. so just be happy mama

I was scared to tell my parents when I found out I was pregnant too, I waited about 3 months. But they took it really well which was very surprising considering they've always told me they wouldn't support me having a kid so young! The way I see it, is that they're gonna find out regardless once that baby comes. So you might as well tell them now instead of later

with my first I was 20 weeks when I told my mom. I thought the same. she told me to start packing my stuff but once she came home she told me to stay. bc she knew 10min out the door she'd be worried. it took her some time but came around and loves my son to the fullest. with my second I was the same 20 weeks and this time I swear it was easier only bc I'm having a girl. she was upset bc I took too long to tell her tho. so just go for it. her reaction will be the same whether it's now or later. good luck !

@kimcumber, I wouldn't be sad that he said he wouldn't help you with your child. I would think he means it's a part of life and time to do it on your own. I would go ahead and tell my mom. She may take it better than you think. You are 18, so that's not terrible. Even if she was upset at first. I'm sure she would come around, as well as your dad. He may be heart broken that you didn't pursue a career and all the great things, but he will love the baby.
