Is it necessary to get birth control after giving birth? 🤔 what is the good and the bad sides of it?

I got the depo shot & have been bleeding for 2 months & i eat like I'm still pregnant.. I won't be getting another shot & honestly don't know if I'll be on any birth control

I have Nexplanon. So far I have no bad side effects. Only reason I decided to get birth control is because I don't want another baby until my daughter is 2. Also because my husband hates condoms and there expensive to continue to buy. So I got something that was a one time thing and free.I can also have it removed at any time I want.

Depo causes so many issues, miscarriages, osteoporosis, etc. I do NOT recommend it. Yes it works great, if you never plan to get pregnant again.

After my first, I got the Mirena IUD placed and I loved it. No side effects at all and I literally forgot about it. Just had it checked at my yearly Pap smears. I only got it removed bc we were ready for baby #2. At my 6 wk of checkup in a few weeks, I'm getting another placed. I would def recommended getting an IUD if you decide that you are going to use birth control

I know the Mirena is good for 5 yrs. not sure about other ones mm ommyandjonford

I had zero side effects from it. I didn't gain any wait. I ended up loosing weight and going lower than my pre-pregnancy weight with my first bc I EBF her. The IUD didn't make me gain any weight
