Can dogs sense when labor is coming? My Shepard never wants anything to do with me but ALL day today…

@mamamiia28, I feel like my dog did. Night before my water broke my pitbull laid next to me an have my fiancé sad eyes an a look (like don't touch mommy she's resting) every time he'd come by me or kiss me.

My dog got insanely protective in the two weeks before my water broke.

She started around a month before though. It just got more intense.

In the beginning of my pregnancy me nd her couldn't get along at all. but now I'm 33 weeks. she will just come n lay her head on me .. it's my brothers dog nd she listens to me more then him lol. it's cute now but before I don't think so. ...... the wierd thing is she was born around same time I got pregnant so I feel like she will be protective over my baby ..

yrs, they can sense when labor might be near or if there could possibly be a problem. pay close attention to your body right now. It's a little creepy to me how animals have that 6th sense.

@michellevaldez4750 my boyfriend got the dog about a 1.5 ago and we never got along bc I'm not a fan of big dogs but the last 2 days he won't stay away from me and always resting his head on my belly. Iv been having some contractions and losing my plug and losing weight.. I don't think I'll make it another 6 weeks!!
