my daughter was in the picu and nicu for the first 4 months of her life. She could barely wear clothes bc she was in and out of surgery so much. It depressed me that I couldn't dress my newborn in all her cute clothes so her nurse suggested that I paint her toes, sooo I took advantage of that and painted her nails all the time and put bows in her hair to match them. It will not hurt your baby in any way. No matter the age. And this was 6 years ago so the special nail polish wasn't known of then. :)
