It's always fun and encouraging to get checked and be told that you are dilated and effaced, it makes you feel like you are on the right track for labor and that your body is working! But what happens when you have no dilation or effacement? Sometimes it can make you feel discouraged and even make you feel like your body isn't working. Just know that everyone is different and your cervix is absolutely not a crystal ball! Enjoy that excitement you could get from a check but also don't worry yourself over the outcome! Sometimes women don't start progressing until they are actually in labor and some OB's forget to let most women know this. Just know you have time don't stress baby will come when they are ready! ❤️
