there's the patch , the ring, the shot, the iud Andy the implant. it all really depends on you. it all really depends on your body. I can't take the pills because I forget, when I used the ring I got pregnant with my daughter and when I used the depo shot it thinned my blood out more ( I'm anemic so I already have thinned out blood as it is) and it gaveme blood clots and made my period last 2 weeks. my health advisor said that the implant us the best choice for breastfeeding mom's since it doesn't mess with the milk supply like the others, so that's what I'm going to get.

I tried the shot and it took my body a long time to adjust after coming off of it. the more I read it seemed the longer it took to readjust and or conceive. I also gained about 7 lbs I couldn't lose until I came off the pill. and i worked out 6 days a week while on it. after this pregnancy i will definitely go on the pill instead. honestly, it has been around the longest and i trust it more. plus I can stop anytime I want and not have to wait 3 months for my body to get its self together. not to mention, I had my period for 5 weeks in a row after coming off the shot. constant bleeding. and im usually very light, 2 day period kinda girl. so that was hard. it was nice to only have to get the shot every 3 months vs something you do everyday but to me it was so not worth it. hope this helps!

@francesgln92 thanks! Everyone that I know that was on the shot, all gained a lot of weight. May look more into the patch. Definitely don't want anymore babies till at least Riley is starting school!

Yeah I gained weight ar first and when I went the 2nd time to get it I got my period and it was really heavy which isn't normal for me and then I started having large blood clots and my period lasted 2 weeks and I went to the doctor's about it and they said that there's some chemicals in it that can cause the blood to thin and itsnot really recommend for iron anemic women but they don't tell you That

I used the patch and will go back on it...it was fabulous never had any side effects and only had to change it once a week for 3 weeks then the fourth week I would get my peroid like clock work

I was on the depo shot for 2 years and it worked for me. didn't have my period even once in those 2 years which I enjoyed but some people say it freaks them out. or some people get bad periods during it. but it's one that you probably would want to come off of after 2 years
