Okay so I have a serious question that's been driving me crazy!!! I have a 2007 Nissan altima and I can't find my anchors to anchor my car seat. It's rear facing and I'll be using it for my baby boy in July. Does every car seat have to be anchored? I just used the seat belt. I've never installed a car seat in my life. HELP!!!

It can still slide or go more one way than the other so it's best to anchor, my car has this hole to hook things on, but it lifts up and there's a compartment! So it's useless! So I hook it to whatever I can that works to keep it in place

I had this issue as well, if all fails you can always go to the fire department or by police station and they will properly install it for you. it's something I've found useful.

Try leaning your back seats forward and look where they fold!!

No, read your car seat manual. I could be wrong but at least mine is like this. It specifically says not to anchor and use seat belt. I too made that mistake and took the anchors off because the seat belt held the base in tighter.

This is where yours should be. But to answer your question. No they don't have to be anchored.

Ahhhh I found them! Thank you guys!! I think I'll use the anchors instead of the seat belt. :)
