I'm so teaching Genevieve baby sign language when she is old enough. I've always wanted to try but never did with my other kids. Anyone do baby sign language with their babies? was it easy and how does it benefit you? I'm super excited about it and would like as much input as I can get from those who have experience with it.

We did just a few basic signs milk, more and all done anytime starting now you say the word do the sign my daughter had an outstanding vocabulary by the time she was a year

yes! I think it would prevent many tantrums because little ones can communicate their needs without getting frustrated. I was just wondering if it really works. 😊 Thank you for responding. @ehq

i did basics with my son. but we found it hard to get him to talk because he always wanted to sign. but it was nice to not hear him whine for simple things he wanted like a drink.

I think it's good to know, I never did learn. Maybe this will give me and my little one the opportunity to learn some and then maybe more later on. @ehq

yeah we did that but my son is very stubborn. very smart but likes to take the easy route. it may be different for you but once the baby gets older maybe try getting them to say the word too. once they are old enough to understand they dont get what they are wanting unless its signed and spoken maybe?

that's a good idea, I actually read a book explaining the differences between boys and girls a few years back that mentioned something about boys being like that. I have 4 boys (some step, some biological) raised them all and we have a 10 year old girl. My sister has 3 girls that I'm close with and I have to say that it seems legit that boys are just kinda lazy when it comes to the milestones. Now, not everyone boy fits that mold, of course but I did see the difference between the children growing up and developing in my life. So just FYI and I thought that was interesting information to share. 😊 @roche.mommy6435
